Life’s too short for mediocrity

We believe that the most beautiful wines are the result of time, skill and care. We select great wines from unusual origins we think you’ll really love and that showcase something different, produced by vintners whose passion for traditional methods and quality wines matches our own. Life’s too short for mediocrity. We offer amazing wines with a real difference, and flavour from first drop to last.

Plenty of fruit, smooth and rich. Herbs!

Fitou is right at the southern point of France, beyond Narbonne and just before Perpignan and the Spanish border. Technically part of the greater Languedoc wine region, it, like Minervois and Corbieres, makes a name for itself separately due to its proximity to both the Mediterranean and the Pyrenees. They produce wonderfully rich, smooth wines, which typically have that herbal dusty aromas you might associated with an arid mountaintop. Wines well worth getting to know.

Ripe exotic fruits, spices and generous length

The Lebanon may be considered an inhospitable place to visit currently (and very sadly), but it remains an ideal location to produce wines: dry, warm and moderated by the Mediterranean. Indeed, wine-making in the Levant goes back centuries. But this is a modern outfit, with some serious French heft behind it: the Brunier family of Vieux Telegraphe in Chateauneuf-du-Pape, and Dominique Hebrand formerly of Cheval Blanc. This is their entry-level version, and very fine it is too: plenty of fruit and body, but with a serious backbone behind it as well.
