INFO: Alicante Bouschet is a fruit forward rich red. It is picked as late as possible to obtain the richness of fruit and full tannins that is characteristic of wines made from this variety in the Alto Alentejo. Prolonged maceration on skins followed by 14 months maturation in barrel has bought out the richness of this variety.
Plums and prune notes, great acidity and structure. Silky and rich tannins. Very long and rich finish with notes of chocolate and vanilla.
Rich, fruit forward wine that's a great alternative to Cab Sav and Zinfandel
