INFO: The grapes came from a 100% bush vine vineyard. Harvesting took place at optimal phenolic ripeness. Extended cold soaking was applied before fermentation took place on the skins, with regular pump-overs and aeration. Fermentation temperatures were carefully monitored and kept between 24°C and 26°C. An extended post-fermentation skin contact extracted the desired level of colour and softened the tannins, resulting in a soft and rounded mouthfeel.
An intensely coloured wine with a perfumed nose of mocha, chocolate and dark berry flavours, which follow through onto the palate and are complemented by spicy undertones. A soft mouthfeel that lingers on the palate.
