INFO: Bodegas Resalte de Penafiel was established in 2000 in the Ribera del Duero
region of Spain. They have 80 hectares of vineyards and a state-of-the-art
winery where they combine traditional winemaking methods with modern
technology to create high quality, modern wines which are reflective of the
region.
This Roble is 100% Tempranillo from sandy and calcareous soils. The wine
spends 5 months ageing in 60% French and 40% American oak barrels which
imparts a subtle sweet spice aroma. The palate is juicy with concentrated black
cherries and blackberries combined with cocoa and an subtle mineral character.
