INFO: The Pillots have cultivated vines in the Côte de Beaune village of Chassagne-Montrachet since 1625.
This lovely Puligny-Montrachet comes from a single vineyard just south of the village called Les Noyers. The vines grow on dense clay and limestone soils which are located at 750 feet above sea level. Bret Jean-Marc vines were planted in 1973 so at 45 years of age are producing excellent fruit.
Grapes are hand-harvested and carried to the winery where they undergo alcoholic fermentation in oak barrels (25% new) for a period of two months. The wine is aged in French oak barrels for 11–12 months.
The wine is precise and elegant representing a true reflect of Montrachet
