Passage du Sud Vermentino - Languedoc
France - Languedoc
REGION: Languedoc, France
Vermentino is a typically Southern-French/Northern-Italian variety, that is gradually making a few inroads into the UK market. Like a cross between Viognier and Chardonnay in a way, it's often used in white blends to add a little body and floral kicks, but is really able to shine on its own. When picked early, like this one, the acidity stays up, and you get a lovely vibrant, fresh and crisp white which can hold its own in a meal.
