INFO:
Every merchant should be thinking again about Beaujolais. At Jaded Palates, we love putting once much-maligned wines back on the map (Riesling, Cava, Greek), and Beaujolais is certainly a perfect example of this. Synonymous with the bubble-gum juice of Nouveau which, thankfully, is losing something of its appeal, this region and indeed grape really has so much more to offer. The 10 top villages you will have heard of before (Fleurie, Moulin-a-Vent, Morgon...), but even classic every day Vielles Vignes style can produce amazing value for money. Good ones can be like a cross between Pinot Noir and Syrah.

7 WORD WINE REVIEW:

Peppery, earthy, bright cherries. Really excellent value.
