Like much of the New World, Koyle stems from a family with a long history in wine: Cristobal Undurrage is a 6th generation winemaker. But the winery itself was founded in 2006 after the family found the perfect plots to set up for themselves. The Koyle is the name of the purple flower which is endemic to this particular region of the Andes. As is typical of Chile, it is the purity of the fruit which shines through here, as well as the very handled oak-ageing and balance.
