Domaine Dupré - Bourgogne Pinot
France - Burgundy
REGION: Burgundy, France
VARIETIES: Pinot Noir
Before organic wines became quite such a trend, the French were practising “agriculture raisonnée” or “integrated farming". For generations, farmers understood the benefits of looking after the soils and their products and limiting the use of pesticides. It involves using various practices such as grass-cover and manual ploughing in the vine rows to control weeds naturally. Jean- Christophe Dupré follows these practices for ecological and quality reasons, and his entry-level Burgundies show remarkable quality for the price.
