INFO:
Pronounced “sane” in the local dialect, Sijnn is the name of the little hamlet that exists at the mouth of the Breede River, 250km East of Cape Town. The vineyard is so new, that they’ve had to create a whole new viticultural area for it: Malgas. It is a barren area of plateaux about 15km from the sea, with a very high level of stones in the soil, meaning yields are very low. This is an amazingly interesting wine, very Rhone in characteristics.

7 WORD WINE REVIEW:

Beautiful Rhone-like Syrah: berries, spice and earth.
