INFO: The Penedés district is situated between Barcelona and Tarragona, with the
mountains of Montserrat marking the border in the north and the Mediterranean in
the south. The soil is varied, contrasting from chalky clay to sandstone with distinct
differences in depth. The mild Mediterranean climate is ideal for growing vines.
Vinified using the traditional method. The alcoholic fermentation was carried out in
stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures of between 18 to 20°C. The secondary
fermentation took place in bottles stored horizontally to maximise contact with the
lees, imparting complexity in the resulting wine. Disgorging took place after 12
