The first records of Monte del Frà are to be found in the Capitolare, the historic library in Verona, and date back to 1492 when the winery was owned by monks. A deed from 1619 shows that the monks rented out these vines to various families, one of whom came from the village of Sommacampagna where these same vineyards today produce this vibrant, fresh rosé. Italy is nothing if not history, food and wine!
