Originally an engineer who was looking for somewhere nice to move to, Dieter Sellmeyer turned to winemaking purely as a hobby initially, as the place he bought in South Africa happened to have some vines. His attention-to-detail kicked in, though, and he just couldn't help himself trying to tweak, cajole and improve year on year. Now in his 15th year, I think you can say he's cracked it! A really wild blend of all sorts goes in this: Cabernet, Merlot, Syrah, Mourvedre... This can sometimes confuse, but not here.
