REGION: Cahors, France
Malbec means Argentina, right? Well, yes, but much before the South Americans seemed to make it their own, this small town in Southwestern France had a thing or two to say about who were the Kings of this dark grape. Do not expect the rich, dark, sweet fruit you find in Argentina, this is something altogether different - earthy, spicy, bright and fresh. This winemaker is not for blending his Malbec to lessen the impact - it is how he thinks it should be.
